LCS Support

With the support of the Board, B&HF has applied to be a provider of public health LCSs.  The Federation can also support practices with the delivery of ICB LCSs.

Brighton and Hove Federation has been successfully added to the list of providers for Public Health Locally Commissioned Services.  That enables B&HF to support practices by providing additional capacity to deliver coils, implants, smoking cessation services and health checks.

The following principles apply to this service:

1. B&HF would only complete work practices currently do not have the capacity for
2. Income levels to practices remain unchanged, assuming current activity levels are  maintained by them
3. Implants and coils would be booked by practices directly
4. Any surplus made will be used by B&HF to fund additional primary care services
