Locally Commissioned Services (LCS)
Brighton & Hove Federation (B&HF) is registered as a provider for Public Health LCS and can support practices in the delivery of NHS Sussex LCS.
B&HF has been added to the list of providers for Public Health LCS, enabling us to help practices by providing extra capacity for:
- Coil and implant procedures
- Smoking cessation services
- Health checks
Key principles of LCS work are:
- B&HF only undertakes work that practices do not currently have the capacity to deliver
- Practices’ income levels remain unchanged, assuming current activity is maintained
- Any surplus generated is reinvested into local Primary Care
We currently offer the Out of Hours Care Home LCS on behalf of practices that want us to do it under a sub-contracting arrangement. B&HF could offer similar support for other LCS’s, such as diabetes on behalf of practices.
